Olu MONTESSORI PROGRAMS

  • Nido Community

Our Nido Community is designed for children aged 4 months to 18 months. Infants have access to their own designated play area and outdoor classroom. These carefully constructed environments encourage exploration of nature, development of fine and gross motor skills, as well as an appreciation for movement, music, art, and environmental care. These activities provide a foundation for infants to develop independence, confidence, focus, control, and a love for learning and life.

  • Toddler Community

Our Toddler Community is designed for children aged 18 months to 3 years old. Children in this classroom have access to their classroom and our outdoor classroom. This mixed-aged classroom encourages children to learn from and teach their peers while offering opportunities for leadership, peer learning, diversity, socializing, and various other skills and abilities. Qualified teachers present lessons in Practical Life, Mathematics, Language, Sensorial, Science, and Art & Culture lessons.

  • Children's House

Our Children’s House is designed for children aged 3 to 6 years old. It provides a thoughtfully prepared Montessori environment that nurtures independence, concentration, and a lifelong love of learning. Children in this mixed-age classroom benefit from peer learning, hands-on materials, and individualized guidance from trained Montessori guides. Through purposeful work and daily routines, children develop foundational skills in Language, Math, Practical Life, and Sensorial exploration, all while building confidence, empathy, and social responsibility.

  • Outdoor Classroom

Our Outdoor Classroom provides a beautiful integration between Montessori activities and nature. The outdoor classroom is located on the patio, where children can develop their ability to nurture, respect, and care for others by watering plants, pulling weeds, harvesting, washing clothes, and caring for animals. Olu Montessori's outdoor classroom provides an enriching curriculum in Practical Life, Science, Culture, Music, Art, Movement, and STEM activities. When children have an outdoor classroom, they can explore the Montessori activities traditionally presented indoors. The Outdoor Classroom opens the door for a type of learning that is limited in an indoor classroom.

Children from the Nido, Toddler, and Children's House communities may enter the outdoor classroom at any time with a teacher present.

Our Approach

We work together to raise children to demonstrate respect, empathy, love, acceptance, and inclusion. The environment at Olu Montessori encourages children to excel academically and grow as compassionate individuals. Our goal is to nurture the whole person, including social-emotional learning, while simultaneously supporting a child's educational and intellectual growth.

“The most important period of life is not the age of university studies, but the first one, the period from birth to the age of six.”
